What is compassion, and do you possess it?

Compassion to me is love and concern for others and their situations. We may not always be able to understand exactly what they are going through, but if we love them and have compassion for them, then we should be willing to help them in any way we can.

The three ways I know I can ALWAYS help someone is through prayer, encouragement from scripture and my personal experiences that might be relevant to their situation, and just plain being there; having an open ear to listen and an open heart to understand everything I possibly can.

There are many different types of examples of compassion, what it is, and how it affects people, but here I have stated for you the general idea. I have a lot of compassion for others, but I'm not perfect. There are times when I'm in a bad mood or going through a problem myself, and I let my irrational emotions get in the way of truly caring for someone else, but God will work everything out in me in His time.

Praise the Lord for He is Holy!

How much time do you personally (try) to spend praying and having solitary time with God, and how does that time affect the rest of your day? If you didn't pray before, how has regular prayer and personal time with God changed your daily life?

What do you note about Jesus

Often times it's simply very nice to have a peaceful quiet place to pray without distraction. Early in the morning can also be a good time to pray, because much of the world around you is inactive, so you can worry less about getting interrupted when you are spending time with God.

We all need quiet time now and then, and that quiet time is best spent with God, because He helps us refocus and brings us peace. I personally love praying when I know I don't have to worry about distraction or interruption because I can get into a deep conversation with God and not be thinking about the world around me; my focus is entirely on my God. It's that personal time with Him that really makes my life wonderful.

God is good.

What motivated Jesus to heal others?

Whenever Jesus moved, He moved with compassion. Being God incarnate, He loves us as God loves us, therefore wants good for us. It would also inspire people to believe in Him and follow Him. Jesus being the only way to the Father was doing more than just healing them; He was bringing those He inspired to God, and that is exactly what God wants with us; to be close to us and be a part of our lives.

Praise Him for He is Holy! King of Kings! Lord of Lords! You are Almighty God!
