Charity and NOT Greed

We, people often think that those rich and wealthy people are not holy. Or if you really want to be holy, you shouldn't be keeping money or earning twice as much as you should and you should have NOTHING. When we earn so much or when we hold money in our hands we started to think that we're doing something wrong. But how can you possibly help those in need if you have nothing to give" If you started to earn twice as much as you earn 5 years ago, and you feel uncomfortable about it, think again! Ask yourself! How are you spending your money" How much are you giving to God" 2%" 5%" 10%" it doesn't matter how much you are giving away to God and to help other people. What matters is that you won't forget to pass your blessings to other people. Isn't it wonderful to be a blessing to others" Extend your family. If before, you're working so hard for your wife and children, then why don't you give yourself a new goal" Expand your defintion of family! Family don't have to be "same blood". Work to help NOT ONLY those who share your surname but also those who needs help. Always reach out your hand!

God bless!

Why did Jesus“ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

Jesus, a God, is born of the virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit. He therfore, really became one of us. He became a man. He worked as a carpenter. He experience to live as a real human, not to live as a God, because is very humble. These things are one of the proofs of His humility.

So, as part of being a human, He needed to suffer emotional and physical pain as a  penalty for our sins.

Although spiritual separation from God is the heaviest sacrifice of Jesus, physical and emotional pain are really part of the entire salvation made by Jesus Christ.

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)

No. I don't think Jesus ever tried to incite his death.

His death is His purpose. He knew from the beginning what was going to happen to Him and yet, He believed it was the will of God. He accomplished His purpose (His death) because He loves us so much. Because He wanted the will of God to be done.

"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"
I believe Jesus accomplished the third purpose: "To sacrifice Himself for Others". He paid the price for my sins... And I will say it again, over and over again... He died in my place. He died so I could live forever. He gave up everything so I could have everything.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?

"He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me; and he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will disclose Myself to him." (a17"; "> John 14:21)

Straight from this, Jesus is telling us that He will reveal Himself and He will love anyone who has and keeps His commandments.
