January 11, 2008 What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?
That even with the Jews not valuing women at the time, He allowed women to be part of His followers. I believe up till date women constitute the largest part of any congregation cuz of what he did. He showed the women that they are free to worship Him with a minimum restrictions. Unlike their fellow women in Judaism who were used to restrictions these ones came to enjoy some freedom.
