What the soldiers did was actually long been prophesied in the Old Testament. Even though Jesus was perfect and blameless but He still chose to bear the mocking in our place so that we could have the complete forgiveness given to us through His work on the Cross. He's also our saviour who able to understand what we are going through today as He Himself went through the greatest pain.

Blog of Soy Yi Chan God is love. God is righteous and He cannot tolerate with sin. Knowing that human is unable to fulfill the 10 commandments, He has to send His own son to die in our place for us.. so that by having faith in Christ Jesus.. we became the righteous in Christ (the commandments are fulfilled through faith in Christ). It's not that Jesus intended the penalty for "sin" to include both the physical and emotional pain (God is love). However pain and suffering is inevitable (byproduct) as we're living in a fallen world. The good news is, love and grace from above is available for those who have come back to the Father. i believe that's because sin is the root cause of sickness in this world.. could be the sin of this world or some unresolved issue in the individual himself/herself.. Therefore to heal the person as a whole, fogiving of sin is the key to it. Also making the conscience of the paralytic clear for he must have suffered a lot of condemnation whether he has his fault in the cause of the illness. |
