To be loved by God is to love his son Jesus and to obey and follow his rules.  By loving God, we are invited to come and live with him and he with us.

Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?
Yes.  Valuable enough to spend time with them and be berated for doing so.  Valuable enough to die for us all.  We are the lowly people no matter what we think.

Define "Compassion"?
Being acutely aware of what people around you are going through and doing something to help, even if it is just being there, (no words or actions) just being there.

An Extraordinary Life

I wonder sometimes what it must have been like for Jesus to live an ordinary life and then to come out of obscurity to set the world on its ear. Did he know or ever think about what would happen when the time came for him to start his ministry"  I personally believe that Jesus being who he was and being the son of God, knew what was to be done. He was so attuned to his father's wishes, that he waited and learned all he needed to know so that when the time came to start his ministry, he would be ready.
