How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?

We can not separate Jesus from the Word, and drawing near to Jesus means knowing and obeying the Word.  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.  Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word (The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost) will remain.  And it is not enough to be hearer's of the Word only, but we must also be Doer's of the Word.  For we must love in deed and in truth. To get to know Jesus you must get to know the Word.  And through the Word we may come to have Christ dwell in our hearts By Faith. And to love Jesus is to love the Word, which includes his commandments.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
After I finished wiping the tears from my eyes, I would talk about the needs of God's Children and share a laugh with my sweet master.

Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?
Because it is no longer sufficient to love/serve only those who love you (family, friends, and love one').  With Jesus the requirement of Love/servitude is expanded to include our enemies.

How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.
Forgiveness is an extension of Gods Love, by which God is able to pour into us more of Himself. With each repentance of sin comes the remission of sin and the overwhelming burden of guilt that accompany's it. Often times what prevents us from being freed of our sin and guilt is our own misconception that it is impossible for anyone, let a lone God, to love us so much, he is willing to take us back time and time again after we have failed Him miserably, misconstruing God's love which is eternal for man's love. So like pack rats, we pack away our sin and guilt in every corner and crevice in God's temple til there is no room in God's temple for God, and instead of staying at the Inn we displace God and put him up in the Manger. Some of us go our whole lives carrying around this excess baggage of sin and guilt for so long that it deforms us and makes us into drug addicts, prostitutes, criminals, murderers and the like til the person we always dreamed we would be looks nothing like who we turned out to be on the brink of eternal damnation. But, then God steps in and baptize us in the Holy Spirit, covers ours sins with the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, fills us with his Holy Ghost, breathes life back into us, and molds us into the image of His Glory from Glory to Glory. So when we look in the mirror we look better than we ever imagined we'd look, looking more like our Father each day. We began take on his distinct features and characteristics, finding ourselves rooted and grounded in love, with Christ dwelling in our hearts by Faith where pain once resided. Each removal/emptying of sin by God from our lives creates more room/areas in our lives that comes under God's Holy dominion increasing our love for God who is Love.
