God is One Person - There is no Trinity
The claim that Jesus is God the Son is based on the traditional belief that Jesus is a part of a "Trinity" - a pagan belief that is not found in the bible, but believed on by fundamental Christianity. The words "Trinity, Triune, Three Persons, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, God the Holy Ghost" et al are nowhere to be found in the Bible. In fact the bible calls Jesus a man, and not a God. Furthermore the bible says that God cannot die. Therefore it was the Son of God that died on the Cross, not the second person of a trinity. The fact that a man died on the cross who was innocent of sin gave us a way to be accepted by God because of the shed blood of his son, who replaced animal sacrifices of the old testament, and after the order of Melchisedec, became our high priest. There is one mediatior between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.
