December 21, 2007 Why do you think Jesus did not speak to Herod nor answer Pilate?
This was done so that which was written would come to pass. Jesus did not fight his destiny rather he embraced it with dignity of a KING. He did not protest because they were not there to listen to him for he was already condemned in their hearts. Herodwanted a miracle not a Saviour and Pilate wanted peace so they submitted to the will of the leaders.

December 19, 2007 Why do you think Peter denied knowing Jesus?
Peter was afraid and he did not yet understand the message of the Christ. its best to say that Peter was very confused and he acted in self interest. Afterwards, when it came into perspective and he understood he repented and joined the others to mourn the loss of their freind. It took the ressurection to bring about the change in their belief system and to launch christianity.

December 18, 2007 In this account Jesus healed the servants ear. Why did he do such a seemingly small thing while he was being arrested?
Jesus demonstrated that our circumstances should not change who we are. Jesus requested that he healed the servant in the midst of the beginning of his end as a human. This is a radical response to the eventual torture and crucifiction. Only Jesus has demonstrated such grace and dignity.

December 11, 2007 Define "Resurrection"?
Resurrection is the coming of age when the saints will recieve their glorified bodies. There will be no more sickness or death or pain. They will rejoice in the Lord all the days of their lives - eternal. The Sadducees were afraid because they knew Jesus was aware of their trick question and still provided a justified answer and won the crowd. They were afriaid of Jesus because they had witnessed his miracles.
