May 08, 2007 How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him? a New commandment? Firstly, a new commandment, speak of a new way of thinking. This time is not about just obeying do`s and don`ts, keeping the laws. It is not a ritual practices but a way of living, having a inner change, love is on the inside and this love propels or prompts to be of service to God. It helps us in our obedience to a loving father. Love becomes the theme. to love God and to love others. God`;s love for us is demonstrated through Christ and Christ`s love for us through his obedience on the Cross, Christ is the source of love. Therefore, if he is in us through the power of the spirit, love should flow from us. God had written such love on our hearts. Jeremiah 31.33. This deep inner love helps us to be obedient to the Spirit`s promptings and God`s will.

May 03, 2007 Love one another Love teaches us to be compassionate one to the other as Christ was. Love covers all the other laws.

May 03, 2007 Love one another It is not that the commandments is new, but with Jesus, the emphasis is place love instead of keeping the 10 laws Jesus made a new covenant for us to keep the two most important law to love God and to love others as ourselves. Love is the new covenant or agreementa Christ brings. If we love others we would not want to hurt them, as ourselves shows the extend to which the love goes. The law and the prophet depends on these two. Love is the theme and God has written such love on our hearts. It was love that cause God to send Jesus to die for our sins .It was love love tha mke Jeus was willing to lay down his life for our sins when he went to Calvary. He could have turned back but he was obedient even unto death.

May 02, 2007 God forgives Being forgiven increase one`s love for God, because one does not deserve what Christ did. To know that he was willing to die for me because his love is more than I can ask. My love would grow because of God`s love for me, in providing someone to pay the prize for my wrong doings.
