"According to Jesus, what does it mean to be loved by God?"

Being loved by God means the deepest, sacrificial love available.  God's love involves giving us Jesus Christ, crucified on the cross for the salvation of sins. 

The words of Jesus in the book of John also indicate that a response by us to God's love, and a response that discloses God to us in greater depth and love.  "He who has mY commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me; and he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will disclose Myself to him.  Jesus tells us God's response to our loving Him:

  • "We will make our abode in him."
  • "I will disclose myself to him."
  •  "Will have eternal life."
  • "Shall never perish."
    • God's love is available to us as believers in Him who died for us.

    We live in a world where many say Jesus is not relevant to our world today. How do you respond if you see Jesus as relevant? If you question his relevance, what are the questions you may have?

    Who Is Jesus to me?

    Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the father but through me."  Jusus made some radical claims that indicates when he was on earth in human form, he was either our savior or he was a lunatic. 

    Jesus represents God, and was with God from the beginning.  The Holy Spirit is what Jesus promised to be with us and available to us when Jesus returned to God and is with us until Jesus returns again.  

     We are called to follow Jesus, our savior.
