December 17, 2010 Why was sending Jesus to live on earth such an effective way for God to tell people about Himself?
Because He loves us. And He showed his love in action, by giving up all of His power and glory just for US.

I would praise, worship and rejoice in His greatness, but at the same time I might feel sad to see him leaving me.

December 17, 2010 Jesus took careful time to explain all things about his death and resurrection. Does this give you confidence in his words and promises, knowing he and others had predicted his death and resurrection? "Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself."

December 17, 2010 Why were fulfillment of prophecies important? "note: Jesus predicted his death and resurrection? "...saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again...". There are also many accounts in the old testament describing the death and resurrection of the Messiah hundreds to thousands of years before the event.
Prophecies must be fullfilled because it is prophesied by God. And He never lie.
