April 10, 2007 why do we, as children of God, so easily judge what society and others deem as Lowly? We are fortunate enough to help them. It amazes me how little time, the general poplulation will overlook those who need help or are not as financially successful as t |

April 08, 2007 Define Compassion?I define compassion with the word empathy. I have God given feelings for other`s troubles. If I act on them, I feel a sense of pleasure. I must be careful, though, not to seek this self-pleasure for my own ego, but that my intentions are to truly help another person with THEIR troubles. It feels gratifying to share my experiences or lend a helping hand that it may comfort them.
I have learned to be wary of the individual who is asking for help, as a way to manipulate you into wrongful actions.
Jesus helped whomever He could, I think that this is the true spirit of compassion without judging one`s motives. Who am I to judge someone in need. I do not know all, I need to trust and if God has put that person into my path, I must assume that it is His will, and not mine own, to help however I can. |

April 08, 2007 political and religious settingsI am understanding of the freedom allowed to worship whomever one chose. The Jewish- one God, or the Roman - polytheistic, idolic, God. I am not sure this means non-Jewish/Genties were the Romans"
Mostly seems as today`s, U. S. government, with states and federal law governing them ultimately with a more-than-one political party.
It is interesting that currently we accept Sunday as the Sabbath, when traditionally, the Jewish accepted Friday evening to Saturday evening as the Sabbath. |
