Jesus' behavior vs Pharisees

The pharisees thought that God's grace extended only to those that kept his law.  Jewish tax collectors were considered as outcast.  So when Jesus entered Levi's house and eat with them the teachers and Pharisees thought it was wrong for him to associate with them, they never would have.  How else could the seed of salvation have been planted in their hearts.

Jesus claims to be God
The statement "son your sins are forgiven," the priest believed that only God could forgive sins, and replying to their thoughts also proved he was God.  Who else could read their hearts and minds.  Ofcorse telling the paralytic to get up take his bed and go home, was certainly helpful in showing who he was.

What is compassion, and do we posses it?
Compassion is putting others' needs and well being before your own, its a heart thing, a desire to give and do for others, and not for personal gain or acclaim.  Do something for someone, but don't go around telling everyone about it.  I believe that God gave everyone the gift of compassion, I also believe that some people have been so beat up by life and they have never been shown compassion, so they don't know how to show it to anyone eles.  Remember " what ever you do to the least of these you do unto me."

Jesus' aoroach to praying; how would it be useful to me
He got up very early in the morning.  Getting up early in the morning while it is still quiet, and spending some time with the Lord is the best.  Spend time praying and reading God's word before the day starts gives you a better outlook on your entire day, before all the problems and garbage of the day clutter your mind.  Do it while your fresh and your mind is clear, give God your best time.  It will make your day go so much better, to quote my daughter, a day without Jesus is like a day without sunshine.

What motivated Jesus to heal.
Jesus wanted to show his unconditional love for all that knew him, and those who didn't.  He wanted to showed everyone that he had compassion for all people; the sick, impaired, dying, and the dead.  It wasn't a "Look what I did," thing. I think he felt if he showed this side of himself that people would be more apt to believe in him, and believe that he was if fact the Messiah.
