What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?

The fact that i did not really think about before was that the women really were avid followers of Christ, and that women were ttreated pretty much as slaves back then. It is cool how Christ included the women in almost everything He did.

What Do I Know?
Jesus's life was perfect and He sacrificed himself for all of us. Ever since He was a child, God could be seen in Him. There was a story of how Jesus spoke in the temple when He was only a child, and that alone shows how great the life of Jesus had been. He made many miracles occur, and claimed He was the Son of God. Because He had claimed so, He was executed on the cross, but 500 witnesses saw Jesus ascend into heaven. Now we all wait for His return...das about it. :)

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)

At Jesus's time, the pharisees were the most high up peoples that took care of everything that included the Jewish religion. To have said something like "I am the Son of God" in public was deemed blasphemous, wso included the fact that you basically were asking for death. The prophesies did come true, and because of all the teachings of God, we are now in the best situation ever; able to go to heaven for free.

"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"
Jesus Christ is like the most awesomest(not a word) person that ever lived. His life and alhad done was all done for us. Every purpose that was given in the reading was accomplished by the most "awesomest" person ever!!!

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
I would ot be able to say anything for  very long while, but when the talking began, I would unleash all the questions I can think of to clear up all the controversies that are instituted in today's society. My mind wonders about that topic all the time...
