September 07, 2007 What was Jesus trying to teach about giving (amount, motive, attitute)?
Jesus was trying to teach that the amount one donates is not what counts, but how much sacrifice you had to make to give freely. When you give, much more will be given back to you.

August 22, 2007 What is Jesus trying to teach with this parable? Hint: The vineyard (where grapes are grown) is Israel; The farmer is God; the servants are the prophets who were sent by God; the son is Jesus; and the tenants are religious leaders of the Jews.
Jesus is trying to show that all those who don't believe in God and listen to the prophets and the son of God, will be wiped out and that which was for them will be given to others. For example, the Jews were waitng for the Messiah, but when He came, they did not believe, so were not saved, but the Gentiles who did belive were saved.

August 22, 2007 Why did Jesus answer their question with a question? Why didn`t he just say that his authority came from God?
Jesus knew they were out to get him, so by asking from where John's baptism came, he wanted them to answer themselves.

August 22, 2007 Jesus taught that both believing and forgiving are key to effective prayer. Why do you think they are important?
If you pray without faith, it is just mouthing words without meaning it. If you truly have faith in God, you can get what you pray for, but we have to ask God to forgive us our sins and we too must forgive others - only then will God help us
