Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?
Webster’s defines value “a numerical quantity that is assigned or is determined by calculation or measurement.” Values are often determined to either be objective or subjective. Objective value holds that value is inherent in the object itself. Subjective value holds that value is in the eyes of the beholder, not in the object itself. However, we quickly learn that the most important type of value is monetary value. But how can we decidedly define the value of people with dollar signs" People matter to God; he does not add a monetary value but rather personal value. He doesn’t see dollars and cents instead he sees the value of his love within our lives. He chooses to value intimate relationships with every individual alive, he values our salvation and his desire for us to spend an eternity with Him in Heaven rather than separation in Hell. While God does not view our value with dollars and cents but rather he viewed our value with blood and with the Cross at Calvary.

Define "Compassion"?
Compassion is the embodiment of the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you. Compassion is the embodiment of Christ and what it truly means to be a follower of Christ. Christ’s example challenges us to forsake ourselves and “take up our cross and follow him.” Christ’s compassion motivates us to act for the greater good of the poor, the sick, the grieving and the hurting without calling attention to ourselves or our sacrifices. Christ’s compassion was not manifested in his words but rather in his warmth, his compassion was not manifested in his tongue but rather in his touch. His compassion was not manifested in power but rather people; his compassion was not manifested in his condemnation but rather his cross. His compassion was not manifested in his control but rather in his character. When we clothe ourselves with compassion we are clothing ourselves with Christ.

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?
God chose to create us in His own image so we can know Him personally and have a joy-filled life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a will and a freedom of choice. Since the beginning of time, we have chosen to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today John 3:17 states, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” God demonstrated his love for by sending his only Son, Jesus Christ to be crucified for our sins. God paid our debt himself. When we accept God’s free gift of salvation He no longer sees our imperfection but rather Christ’s perfection. Christ died so that we might live.

On the cold dark night you died
Lord, I was there by your side
I felt your sorrow and your pain
There was nothing I could do but feel the cold, heavy rain
You lifted your face to the sky
And you asked God,” Why""
Lord, you shouldn't have had to suffer such a horrible fate
But in your heart was only love never any hate
I wish the fear of death I could have braved
On the cross it was you I should have saved
It was me that should have been dying
For by petty lefts and deceitful lying
Instead you took my place
And I was saved by your loving grace

What is the Kingdom of God?

Christ often describes the Kingdom of God as "a man who scatters seeds on the ground.....as soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come". It is like "a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden" and it is like "like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough." Christ's mission was to "seek and save the lost." More than two thousand years ago as he was baptized in the Jordan River and proclaimed by the voice of God to be the Son of God. His earthly mission was not necessarily to bring Heaven to Earth but rather through his death our souls to Him and from Him to Heaven our Home.

Who do you say I AM?

For century’s scholars, philosophers, religious leaders have wondered who the man Jesus was supposed to be. Many said he was a great prophet, others the greatest man who ever lived and some say he was the Son of God, dying for the sins of the world.

During our lives we spend so much time exploring religion trying to finding answers. We've looked to evolution to explain how the human world came into existence. We use religion as a way of trying to find meaning in our lives. Yet each individual still may have there very own personal reasons for what they seek. Even the most brilliant minds cannot explain death, why there is suffering or why a rainbow appears after every storm.

It's in our nature to long for something more, something beyond ourselves. We have our own opinions and ideas on what or who that might be. But do we really ever find the answer looking through books or practicing religious nature" Have you ever spent silent moments in nature listening to the wind and staring in awe" It's a special and beautiful world in which we live. Have you ever held a tiny newborn in your arms, wondering how such a miracle existence"

It's often when we look beyond the confines of our humanity that we find what we're looking for. As for Jesus, that's a question only you can answer. Jesus asked his disciple Peter, "Who do you say I am"
