Jesus was born in a small farming town to a carpenter and his wife.
Jesus grew up and learned to become a carpenter.
For 30 years He practiced His skills. People saw Him work every day/week. They bought furniture from Him/his family. The brought items to Him for He and his dad to repair. He earned money, ate meals, had friends, went to church, etc. How cool is that to think about as we go about our every day lives"
Then at 30, He began His 3 year ministry.
He followed all the rules even the one about telling the truth about the fact that He is God. For telling the truth about Himself being God, the religious leaders justified killing him.
However, that did not stop Jesus. He died. However, three days later he rose from the dead. He did what He said He would do. Hundreds of people saw him. Dozens ate with Him. He ate food!! At least one man, Thomas put his fingers into the holes in His hands and side just to prove to himself that Jesus was real.
Many people believed the truth about Christ's life, death and resurection. Many believed to the point that they would be willing to die rather than reject the truth. How many of us (me included) could say that"
After a 3 year ministry without the benefit of mass media, television, internet, etc at the time, the story of Jesus Christ continues to be told.
There is something special and unique about Jesus that is worth checking out.
