Poem
I read this poem while serving in the Army in Korea 1984-85.  It gave me great encouragement and still does.
You may have fabulous wealth untold, caskets of jewels and coffers of gold, but richer than I you can never be,for I have a Mother who prays for me.
The cool thing is you can replace the word "Mother" with the name of anyone special in your life you know is praying for you.
The challenge to me is to ask myself; how many people in my life that I call "loved ones" would put my name in that poem.  Do they know I pray for them"

Brief Summary of Jesus
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Jesus is the Word.  He claimed not only to be the only way to the Father-he claimed that He and the Father are one.
He cannot be a good teacher only-as he would have to be a liar to claim to be God.
Jesus accepted the role as the sacrificial lamb and left his throne to become a man.  To suffer the pain of childbirth.  To experience all the hardships we each go through in life.  Yet he never sinned-he never fell short.  Her offered his perfect life as a payment for my sins-the only way in which they could be payed.
He died on a cross, and on that day I died with him to my old ways.  Yet he was raised again and proved that he was master over life and death.  He ascended on high and is now seated at the right hand of the Father where he intercedes for us, as he knows exactly what each of us is going through, and by applying his blood to our sins as we accept him in faith, we can stand before our Holy Father and be perfect in his sight.
Now it is no longer I who live-but Christ who lives in me.
