How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?
With understanding you can have intimacy. I think that if you understand and agree with Jesus you may very well follow his comandments naturally. I think it would please Jesus to find that you would follow his plan on your own accord and not just on Sunday or if you thought He was watching. I think it would Please him to find you were happy living "His kind of life "  without having to be reminded. It would almost seem to be a reqirement at some point making this a "new" commandment.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
I would be ecstatic just to be there and happy to be involved in any conversation that happened to come up.

What is the Kingdom of God?

We are all students of life and the world. Only God has all of the answers. God performs continuously with the confidence that comes from being perfect. We marvel at that and those of us who aspire to do better would try to be more like Him. But we all make mistakes and that is where repenting comes in. If we repent from our mistakes and misgivings we will be forgiven and share in the grace of a better life with God.

God is love and love needs tending.  Praise his name because he loves us.

"Brief summary of Jesus"

When Jesus came to us he learned about corruption in the church as well as elsewhere. His divine love for humanity wouldn't let it go without notice so he became a strong voice against it. As people heard him speak they heard about a loving God that would forgive you if you repented from your sins. The conflict that Jesus entered into by challenging the church cost him his life. He was publicly hung up on a cross (probably as an example to others) until he died. The combination of the events that followed along with events in his life to date were so compelling that his name quickly spread as the messiah and his followers could not be stopped. Some of his devoted follower would rather die than renounce him as their God.

Amen

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death(eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
Jesus was true to his word. His beliefs were incredible but true, and he would not back away from them even under the threat of torture and death. His message was of peace, even at the time of his own torture and death he asks his Father to "forgive them for they know not what they do". He had no other means to convince people of his mission and his sincerity so he stuck to his mission to the end. His example was enough to give people a reason to pause and evaluate what had just happened and why. The result was to change people who were willing to look at the spirit as noble part of them and to aspire to live according to Jesus's teachings.
