October 15, 2007 What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?
This course is helping me to understand the environment Jesus lived in. I think what stands out the most to me is how Jesus managed to remain "unblemished" as he lived day-to-day in a society that was liberal. The Roman government, within boundaries, allowed religious, political and cultural freedom.
