October 27, 2011 What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?
That he was wiser than his years, having a knowledge & foresight beyond those around him. And that while his geographic region was small during his life on earth, his impact on history & the world has been infinite.

God meets us where we are & loves us in our brokeness. He loves as a father loves his child, far more than the child can comprehend. He gave the greatest of sacrifices to show His love for us & to redeem us to life everlasting with Him. We are commanded to love others as He loves us. Matt. 22:37-39 Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 1 Cor. 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

July 08, 2010 All are created in His perfect image
Christ believes all have infinite value because we were created by Him in His image. It is the inward man, not the outward man that matters. We all came into this world with nothing (material) & will leave with nothing. A heart & soul for God is what matters most & gives us true life. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. Matt. 6:20. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 2 Cor. 4:16
