What is compassion, and do you possess it?

Compassion is best described as an understanding of the emotional state of another; not to be confused with empathy. Compassion is often combined with a desire to alleviate or reduce the suffering of another; to show special kindness to those who suffer. Compassion may lead one to feel empathy with another person. Compassion is often characterized through actions, wherein a person acting with compassion will seek to aid those they feel compassionate for.

Compassionate acts are generally considered those which take into account the pain of others and attempt to alleviate that pain. In this sense, the various forms of the Golden Rule are in part based on the concept of compassion, if also on the concept of empathy.

I have benn told I have too much compassion. I feel the pain of everyone and at times sacrifice too much to help others.

In your own words, write down what the phrase, "good news of God" means?
When Adam and Eve fell in sin, the rest of humanity was doomed to sin. Unless they were able to follow very strick laws and rituals they would be doomed. Jesus preached that once we accepted Him we would no longer be doomed but be adopted into the family of God where our final destination would be to live with God forever. That is VERY GOOD NEWS!

If you were Mark, writing a short report to demonstrate to a Roman audience that Jesus (a Jewish man) was "the Son of God", what would you include in that report?
Since the Romans valued power, I would show He had powers that only God could demonstrate: healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons, feeding 5000 people with only a few fish and loaves of bread. Since Romans valued knowledge, I would focus on His wisdom. I would also speak of His great sacrifice.
