Jesus came to earth, born of the Virgin Mary. He came with a mission from his Father God.  He taught compassion, understanding and most of all love. He took the law of Moses and introduced to that law forgivness, by giving his life for our sins on the cross. No human can obey the Law without sin and Jesus gave to us forgiviness of sin and everlasting life. He gave us direction and clarity that if followed, promise everlasting life for all.
