There are so many ways that I could describe Jesus. I feel the most comfortable describing Him as my best friend. Ask yourself what the definition of a true best friend is, and you will find that there is no one here on this earth that fullfills all the criteria of a true best friend. One who is always there, always listening, and always forgiving. Jesus will never turn cold when the stroms of life come. He always and forever will support us. For Christ calls us friends in John 15:15. He said, "that he made everything from the Father accessable to us". He revealed the love of the Father for us during his minisrty here on earth. He gave himself in death for us to defeat the sins that would lead us to hell. Jesus is the true example for us all. He preached love, compassion, prayer for enemies, forgiveness, and sacrifice.

If you don't feel that you have a friendship with Jesus a good start is just to talk to him on a daily basis. Then, if you feel inclined, pick up a Bible and start reading of Christ minisrty here on earth. A good starting place is Luke 15..A good Scripture to read is John 3:16.
