Peter was convinced that he would be loyal to Jesus even if it meant dying. Who would you sincerely be willing to die for?
I would like to die for Jesus Christ and his true followers.

Why does Jesus consider this woman`s desire to please Jesus more important than giving to the poor?
The action on the part of the lady was not only a humanitarian approach and but was a mark of honour and respect for the sinless body of Christ before He was slain who was himself addressing the pains of the poor.

What was Jesus trying to teach about giving (amount, motive, attitute)?
Amount of donation does not matter.  It is the intention and attitude which matters. Widow was a true follower of God and offered whatever she had.  On the other hand rich people sometimes donate and offer just to show off their status in the society.

What actions of the scribes did Jesus warn against? Do we have people who act like this now?
Jesus warned against the actions and mentality of scribes because they pose to the society and common people that they are the cream of the society and the society should respect them.  They want to walk in long robes i.e. well dressed pretending that they are the influential persons and the God also dances to their tunes and everybody should respect them and they should get respect and seat in the synagogues, at feasts. They dont have any character but pretends to be real followers of God.  Jesus further added that these persons will receive greater condemnation.
