In what way is Jesus still with us always? How can we be assured of Hi s presence?
In my opinion JESUS lives in all our hearts and he is present through the love, good deeds, kind words, thoughtful expressions and truth that is spoken. He is also present through the HOLY SPIRIT praying and lobbying for us when speaking to his FATHER. His love is beyond measure and compare, and if we look for him, we will find him in many different ways.

Why is the Resurrection of Jesus a source of hope for people, even today?

Because it symbolizes so many different things and inspires us to believe in our faith and in JESUS (the SON OF GOD). He died a painful crucifixtion so that our sins would be forgiven. His resurrection is a sign that death will not conquer life. Through JESUS (as long as we believe) will have life eternal.

What about Jesus` death impressed the Centurian so much that He realized Jesus was the Son of God?

All of the events that transpired immediately following JESUS' death were not of coincidence. These events were done at the hand of the LORD to lay claim that JESUS was no ordinary man. This was done so there would be no doubt that JESUS was in fact the SON of GOD (whether the people wanted to believe it or not). The Centurian was one who believed and knew that he was guilty (like many) for putting JESUS to death.

Why did those who passed by mock Jesus?

Throughout JESUS' ministry he conducted many miracles. Perhaps, those who passed by and mocked JESUS were hoping for one last miracle (the ability of JESUS to remove himselt from the cross so they might believe). What they didn't realize through their waivering faith was this was not in accordance to the scriptures. Hence, their lack of faith and perhaps their lack of fear in GOD caused them to mock JESUS in this manner.

Why did the soldiers mock Jesus?
At the end of the day, you can see that this is the very reason JESUS died for us. The soldiers' mocking was a mere symbol that they were being led, controlled by something opposite of the FATHER. They certainly were not kind, compassionate and caring, and this is really the embodiment of why JESUS died for us, to save us from these evil thoughts, acts, etc.
