March 14, 2013 "Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"
Tough call, maybe all of them but it is one of those things that time will tell. You would not really know until you passed form death to life. There is no doubt he started something big and believed his purpose was to be a ransom for many. I can say from an earthly standing that most people don`t have "an abundant life" but form the standpoint of his promise "that is what awaits us.

March 11, 2013 How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?
I think he sees love and devotion to his commandments as equal and intimacy comes from Gods love through that link.

February 21, 2013 Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?
He does notice the lowly and reaches out to them. He did not say how valuable but enough to die for and enough to live for. He seems to give them a special status and sees their works.
