What is my journey/story with Jesus?
I was reborn in 1997, but never followed him nor went to church beforehand. I`ve been catching up ever since.
How has Jesus helped me (with self, family, work)?
He gives me peace in my soul and self worth and yet freedom not to have to take care of everything. I know I can`t and I don`t have to .. I`ts His world! I can help him with His help do his work.!
How has Jesus changed me?
I have more wisdom and still can get rattled but know where to find Him. I listen to his tapes each night and pray and He is everything. I can`t watch a lot of stuff nor listen to stuff I used to listen to. I feel more joy and feel more real than ever. I don`t have to be somebody else. I`m good enough the way I am, and yet he keeps bringing me from glory to new glory to be a better me. I matter,for the first time in my life!!!!!
How do I describe "A relationship with Jesus?"
Slowing down and feeling real. Looking for His presence and reading his word. Being filled with hope that he is going to show up and I will feel His presence. In the quiet, or the storm, if I can look thru the storm for him.
How have I experienced Jesus?
In every day little things. But one in particular that I prayed for a little baby boy who had cancer and he lost the lumps of cancer during the week and got to go home to be with his mom and dad all summer. I was awesomized! He shows up in my night tapes that I listen to. Something that happens during the day, like my grandbaby is over and that night the tape is on little children and their innocense! Or I get angry at someone and it`s about forgiveness! All kinds of places!
Why and how did I become a follower of Jesus?
I grew up with an alcoholic dad who said he was god and my brother was Jesus. Then of course, I married someone who was abusive and I found myself in a big puddle of tears at church.
Why and how did I become a follower of Jesus?
I came thru abuse and ended up being more abused at the thought that there is a god! I`ve been scoffed a lot and the changes that have occurred haven`t helped me get along with family but God is so real to me. and good.... and scarey,.... but not like world scares. He`s training me to follow him and the blessings are wonderful. The joy is overflowing and the truth is freeing!
