7 of 10: My current level of knowledge about Jesus?
9 of 10: My current level of respect/appreciation for Jesus?
I consider Jesus to be
Friend, Forgiver, God, Historical Person, Lord, Philosopher, Son of God, Teacher
Jesus makes me feel
Loving, Free, Guilty, Forgiven, Purposeful, Accepted, Valuable, Not alone, Peaceful,
Am I a follower of Jesus: Yes
What is my journey/story with Jesus?
I`ve been a Christian since I was a child. I`ve had my ups & downs. I`ve never strayed, but at times have followed my own selfish path. I want to give him everything I am and not make my own decisions anymore...I mess up when I make my own decisions without trusting him anyway!
How has Jesus helped me (with self, family, work)?
He`s teaching me what it means to be sold out. I`m learning to demonstrate his love to my family, friends, and employees.
How has Jesus changed me?
I`ve been `saved` almost my whole life, so I`d say I`ve always manifested Christian morals. I believe now I`m learning to be more open and accepting of people instead of being quick to assess them.
How do I describe "A relationship with Jesus?"
It is in accepting his forgiveness and grace that I have a relationship with him. I believe the growing is in dying daily to my desires and will and to choose His desire and will for me.
How have I experienced Jesus?
I`ve felt his presence, seen His hand move in my life in hundreds of ways, and have been given answers to many prayers.
Why and how did I become a follower of Jesus?
I grew up in the church. I understood the price Jesus paid for me when I was 12yrs old. Over the years I`ve struggled with sometimes wondering if this is what I believe or what I`ve been taught to believe. I believe; Lord, help my unbelief. He`s still working on me and is the `author and finisher of my faith`. I don`t have an exciting testimony, just a protected kid who chose to believe that Jesus bought me back from slavery to come to know Him personally and be reunited to fellowship with God, the way He always intended.
