Jesus and John the Baptist
To me Jesus showed up in front of John the Baptist to show that he was Christ. Jesus had performed so many miracles and he still performs them today, that is if you believe and God knows that I believe.

When answering John`s question about whether He was the Christ, why did Jesus point out the results of his ministry rather than just saying yes or no?
He wanted him to look at all the good work and miracles he has done and then answer his own question.. who else can perform those if not Jesus the son of God

In John the Baptist`s preaching he has always prophecied the coming of christ he was send to make a way for christ that he was aware of the features of christ the way he operate and everything, That the actions were loud enough to tell that he was truely the lord Jesus christ he had preached about

Actions speak much louder than words; also, John had been in prison for a while at this time and I think Jesus was sending him a message of hope - to keep the faith. Jesus WAS the Messiah John had prophesized.

Jesus knows that John knows all the features of the messiah as prophesied earlier by all the prophets who came before him and Jesus assured John of the fulfilment of all the prophesied happenings that will be done by only the Messiah which Jesus did and the messages of the miracles is all over the Judea, samaria, and many other places.

because people believe on the saying to see is to believe , ... so Jesus show all kinds of miracle and the people see it and John believe that He is the Christ because of all the miracle , Jesus deed , He don`t answer yes or no , because Jesus believe action speaks louder than voice... shalom ...!!

He is calling onto the miracles that only God could have performed. So he is calling as testimony all those who saw the wondrous deeds and heard the words of hopes. Not everyone understood see all those among the Jews who condemnded him as they were still waiting to be released from the Roman Empire to which they then submit all the more by asking them to do what their God given Law did not allow them to do: killing the accused. However grave the sin they were accusing Jesus of, saying to be the Son of God, they most of all broke the Law of Love that Jesus had brought and that was to fullfill all that they should have treasured from the forefathers. All the deeds he points out too they are all acts of mercy. And John is included by Jesus among the prophets the last before the arrival of Jesus. The last prophet who announces and the first official testimony as Mary was the first one and later on Zacaraiah and Simon who prophetised to her the sword ''Mary though very likely knew about Isaiah words''. Like with John in Elisabeth`s womb that was a private recognition, the yet to be born John leapinmg in the womb feeling the Real Presence in the Ark. Here we have the official one. In which also Jesus aknoledged John as a true disciple dressed poorly and lived in poverty to walk on and announce - he alone as that it was before the disciples went two by two - proclaiming all that then was seen by many.

Jesus and John the Baptist

It happened that when Jesus had finished directing his twelve disciples, he departed from there to teach and preach in their cities. Now when John heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples and said to him, "Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?"
Jesus answered them, "Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them. Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me."
As these went their way, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John, "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? But what did you go out to see? A man in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in king's houses. But why did you go out? To see a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet. For this is he, of whom it is written, 'Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.' Most certainly I tell you, among those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he. From the days of John the Baptizer until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. If you are willing to receive it, this is Elijah, who is to come. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
"But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces, who call to their companions and say, 'We played the flute for you, and you didn't dance. We mourned for you, and you didn't lament.' For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' But wisdom is justified by her children."
