They don`t know it because they don`t understand and belive in the scriptures becauce if they had known it, certenly that will allow them to acheiv all there eveil aim. Besides, the need powers which the can control by them selfs thats why the don`t belive in the power of God.

Why do you think the Saducees did not not know the scriptures or the power of God?
May be it`s because they chose not know. They were simply not interested in knowing about one`s power in whom they did not believe.

Why do you think the Saducees did not know the Scriptures or the power of God?
Before Christ, Jews were governed by Prophet or Kings who happen to stand as an intermediary between them and God. So there is no written document to prove to them if there is anything like resurrection after death. This is more reason why they couldn`t believe Christ when He was telling them that in three days He will pull down a synagogue and built it again. The only written documents that are made available before Christ use to be with the elders in the Synagogue.

Why do you think the Saducees did not know the Scriptures or the power of God?
Perhaps the reason they didn`t know is they didn`t understand it in God`s view.

Why do you think the Saducees did not know the Scriptures or the power of God?
The saducees did not know the scriptures because they chose not to believe in the ressurrection, and probably they had no direct encounter with the power of God to raise people from the dead.

The Saducees did not know the Scriptures
I can`t really say maybe if they were not so religious and really pay more attention to God`s words they would of understood every thing about Him, You heard what Jesus said {you are mistaken, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.} so we should pay more attention to the scriptures and not being like the Sadducees.

Why do you think the Saducees did not know about the scriptureas or the power of God?
They believe that there`s only one life and they believe in life in death not life after death. They deny that God can overpower Death. If we do believe in Jesus as our savior then we believe in His resurrection.

Marriage at the Resurrection

On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him, saying, "Teacher, Moses said, 'If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.' Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no seed left his wife to his brother. In like manner the second also, and the third, to the seventh. After them all, the woman died. In the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her."
But Jesus answered them, "You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God's angels in heaven. But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven't you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying, 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?' God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
