Meeting Spiritual Needs: When have you put love into action?
A couple Saturdays ago I went to a homeless shelter for a Bible study and I had lunch with a guy there. I learned about him, his past job, the job he was trying to get and his family. I remembered a story in the Gospels about Jesus and shared it. It turned into telling a lot of stories about Jesus and some of his teachings about grace and love. When I was about to leave I asked if I could pray for him, which I did. I was picking up my plate to throw it away. He grabbed it from me and said “I’ll throw that away for you. I SPEND TIME IN THE NURSING HOME VISITNG WITH MY MOTHER, I AM A LIVING WITNESS THAT YOU CAN TAKE A PERSON HEALTH, THEIR MIND, BUT YOU CANNOT TAKE JESUS. MY MOTHER HAS ALHEZIMERS STAGE 7 AND i PRAY WITH HER AND HER WORDS ARE "t HANK YOU Jesus. Their is another man their that has 5 childern I stopped one day and asked him if he new Jesus he said yes I know him.
