1. Who is Jesus?
Answers to the question of who Jesus is seem almost inexhaustive but we will attempt to answer this question, at least in part, by looking at the Bible, beginning with some claims and comments Jesus made about Himself. To narrow our category still more, let's begin just in the Gospel of John.
What Jesus said of Himself in John's Gospel:
''To Nicodemus the Pharisee'' ?For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life? ''John 3:16''.
''To the Samaritan woman at the well'' ?,Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst,? ''John 4:12:14a''.
?,the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do, for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner,I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me? ''John 5:19,30''.

?He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. He who sees Me sees Him who sent Me? ''John 12:44, 45''.
?,I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words , has that which judges him¨the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.
?For I have not spoken on my own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak? ''John 12:48 - 50''.
?You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am? ''John 13:13''.

?I am the way, the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me? ''John 14:6''.

?I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser? ''John 15:1''.
?I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father? ''John 16:28 ? prophesying of His death''.

?,I have overcome the world? ''John 16:33b''.
?,I am not of the world? ''John 17:16b''.
?,You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth,? ''John 18:37''.
Therefore, Jesus is:
the Word of God ''John 1'', giver of eternal life, Savior, living water, replica and express image of the Father, truth, life, light, righteous judge, witness of God, executer of God's will, from above, bearing Father's name, I AM, oneness with the Father, teacher and Lord, the door, the good shepherd, the vine, , mediator between God and man, overcomer of the world, not of the world, king, the way to the Father.
What others said of Jesus in John's Gospel:
John the Baptist, Jesus' cousin, said of Jesus:
?,his was He of whom I said He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me
And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
No-one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him? ''John 1:15-18''.
?,Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world? ''John 1:29''.
?And I have seen Him and testified that this is he Son of God? ''John 1:24''.
The Samaritan woman says of Jesus: ?,Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet? ''John 4:19''.
The Samaritans the woman spoke to said of Jesus: ?,Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world? ''John 4:42''.
What Jesus said of himself in the synoptic Gospels:
?Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls? ''Matthew 11:28, 29''. By: Editors

he is the spoken and living word who came 2007 yrs ago to set us free and through his sacrifice he offer us everlasting life and a new life, he is the messaih,the one who was, who is and still to come, he is the king of the jews, pharises could not stand him, the cross couldn't hold him, death could not defeat him, his joke is easy, his mercy endurance for ever, he is the true son of God, the holly lamb, the fire who burn im my soul, the precious of precious the most beautiful person and God, that's my king? i wonder do u know him?By: paul hernandez

 | Who is Jesus? |
The Scriptures, the Bible, portray Jesus as God’s only Son whom He sent to die for the sins (or wrongdoings) of all mankind. His existence is pre-eternal as we see described in the book of Hebrews, even in the Gospels. He was fully man (born humbly in a manger) and fully God. But, He chose to empty Himself of His eternal “rights” in order to become like us (Philippians 2). In other words, although Jesus had access to all of God’s power as His son and the image of His essence, He chose not to tap into that power so that He could truly live with our human limitations. However, He did not sin. This makes Him very different from us because we do sin. And it’s not that He couldn’t sin because He could and, since He was limiting His own deistic powers, He could have sinned by choice. But He chose not to for if He had chosen otherwise, He would have forgone His potential to be our Savior. The Savior needed to be sinless. This very choice that Jesus made – to empty Himself, impoverish Himself to be like us, and yet still remain sinless – is what makes Him so attractive. There is no other like Jesus. He is worthy of all our praise and adoration forever. Jesus was and is also the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings, the eternal I AM, the son of man and the Son of God also. He is Immanuel, God with us, for through Him God is able to be with us, through His indwelling Spirit for those of us who have chosen to accept Him into our hearts. Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, the one the Jews wait for still, and yet He is here in our midst in the hearts of all who worship Him, and ready to come again in bodily form at any time. Jesus is the alpha and the omega expressed in the book of Revelation: the beginning and the end. He is the One True God. He is eternal life (John 17:3) and gives eternal life to us so we have the capacity to know Him. He is infinite wisdom, perfect glory, complete beauty, sweet compassion, judge of all, gracious King of Heaven and earth… For me personally, it is because of who Jesus is that life makes sense and has a purpose. He is the lover of my soul who changed my life many, many years ago and who continues to change it today.
