Isaiah 40:1,2 - Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord`s hand double for all her sins.

1 Corinthians 14:3 - But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

2 Corinthians 1:4,6 - And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
