2 Samuel 7:14 - I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

Job 5:17 - Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

Psalms 94:12 - Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;

Psalms 119:67,71,75 - I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

Hebrews 12:6,7 - If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
