How have you put love into action, particularly as it pertains to meeting mental needs?Also, I'm interested in seeing if anyone is interested in posting any images or videos on this topic. If you don't have any videos you've acquired yourself, you may be interested in posting something from Godtube.com or Youtube.com.Instructions for Including Video in Your PostFirst, go to your video source such as youtube.com and find the video you want to attach. You should find a box labeled "Embed." Copy the code out of that box.Now comes the tricky part. You won't see a place to insert video in the initial comment box here on our site just yet. So, type some of your feedback and submit your entry. Then, look at the post you just created and you will see an Edit button. Click that and you will see a place to paste your video link (Video Embed). Just paste the code you copied from youtube into this field.We apologize that this isn't easier to do just yet. We are working to make our interface easier to use in the future. Also, you will note that the initial comment box limits you to 500 characters. If you want to post more than 500 characters, you can post a short message and when you edit an existing message, there is no limit on its size.Also, if you want to type more than one paragraph, just begin each paragraph with a <p> (paragraph) tag and end it with a </p> tag.We are working on making our site easier to use. Meeting Social Needs: When
have you put love into action?
A church I used to go to had a ministry where they do what they call servant evangelism. Every Saturday morning they send out teams of people who go out into the community and find ways of meeting a variety of people’s needs. One team fill red wagons full of smoke alarm batteries and light bulbs. They go door to door and offer to check the smoke alarm batteries for people and replace them if needed free of charge. They also replace any burnt out light bulbs in the house. Another team sets up auto mechanics in the church parking lot and any single parents can bring up their cars and these guys will fix them without any service fees (just part costs and they have a program help out special cases with those costs too). Another team brings buckets of soap and water into area restaurants and bars and they offer to clean their public bathrooms free of charge. You should see these groups of people coming in wearing yellow latex dish washing gloves asking the manager if they would like their bathrooms cleaned for them. The stares are priceless. Another team of people go to the local shopping mall and hand out water bottles and soft drinks to people coming out of the mall on hot days. They don’t accept tips and when asked why they are doing it they simply say the wanted to give a practical example of God’s love for them. They don’t preach or hand out tracts, ask people to visit their church or anything like that. They’ve had a lot of people walk through their church doors wondering what was going on in these people’s lives to cause them to do such things.

Showing Love Towards God: When
have you put love into action?
I’m simple in this way but I believe that if you enjoy life as thoroughly as possible, you are worshipping God. John Piper has written some awesome books such a Future Grace and Desiring God that helped me overcome my guilt in enjoying the things I like to do and be and realizing that God takes pleasure in me because he created me to be the unique person I am. I grew up in a Christian family where guilt was the rule of the day. It took a lot of time and effort to get over that way of thinking and learn to enjoy myself, God and life much more fully. If you’ve never read any of Piper’s work, I’d recommend it.
