Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable? Yes,they are very valuable to Jesus as He came especially for the poor,drunkard and for those who has sins.He gave His precious life on the cross for them so that they can be saved. Those people for Jesus was a blessing and He mainly approaches those lowly people to talk to them and do miracles in their life.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? Jesus was the only man who existed without commiting sin. As the Son of man he lives in a fleshy body like ours. It is flesh that makes man sin. Due to this it was important that Jesus who took all the sins of humanity onto himself to suffer both physically and spiritually. It is for us that He had to endure all that.
