Faith

I have done a lot of heartfelt thinking in this reading today of Mark 2:1-12. I realize that I spend a whole lot of time dreaming and praying for God to fix me and alter me to reflect His image. I do small things here and there to change bad habits and to live a more pure and Godly life. Things have been going great and improving significantly since I have made that small commitment to God.

However, I realize that what I truly need is faith that rips holes in ceilings to get to Jesus Christ. When I get there, the healing power of our savior will wipe away whom I was in the past. I will be able to pick up and toss away all of those things that I had relied on for comfort. I can head home with my head held high and a new woman in Christ.

That is my new goal.

By what statement or action does Jesus claim to be God?

According to the Pharasee's, when Jesus first spoke the words "Your sins are forgiven." He was speaking blasphemies, because according to their doctrine, ONLY God can forgive sins. Then Jesus, rebuking them, said that He has authority on earth (from God the Father) to forgive our sins.

What is compassion, and do you possess it?

Compassion is being moved with pity and heartfelt sincere concern towards something. You wish to help them in any way that you know how. So Jesus was moved with pity and concern for the man with leprosy (and all of Gods children) that He wished to help this man, no matter the negative effect that it might have on himself.

I can say that I have always been filled with compassion towards people. Especially when I was a child. However; as I got older and I was continuously hurt by others, I began to slowly lose that strong sense of compassion for people. Yet, as God has been opening my heart and eyes the past month or so, I feel a renewing in my passion to help others.

I know that I wan't to dedicate my life to aiding other people in seeing God and finding happiness.
