The beautiful thing about when we relinquish or abandon our will to God`s, is that we receive the benefit of His abundance. Yielding your heart more and more to Jesus results in abundant joy, peace and inner health.

On a more practical level, sometimes it can cost you your friendships with people you love when you follow Jesus. In extreme cases, you may develop new enemies. For example, in some cultures, for those who have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior, their lives may be in danger. Some cultures are hostile to people who follow Jesus. In very extreme cases, a person who receives Jesus may have to sacrifice his or her life. Their lives may be endangered and they could be forced to die for their faith in Jesus. In this case, their reward in Heaven will be very great. But, thank God, this is not the case for most people. Most of us receive a little rejection perhaps, but receive a lot of love from those who also follow Jesus.
