Thank you for asking a kind of Question like this, this is my view on it. When our Lord Jesus spoke on the Cross of Calvary that it is finished, it means Satan has no power of humanbeing any more, also Sins as no power or dominion over children of God. Problem is finished in your life, affliction is finished evil doers have finished, over your life Satan is finished. Since the death as no power over children of God. when we read the scriptures, they tell us the ultimate plan to overcome the enemy and his tricks was for Jesus to dies for our sins. when He said it is finished, He meant we now have liberty and freedom to belong to the father, regardless of what happens and however we get tempted, and fall. we will always remain victorious if we call upon the name of Jesus. it is finished

He did his mission from God. The mission was to die for us. He can resurrect because he died. We must also die and resurrect everyday!!!

Jesus had accomplished his mission.He had announced and inaugurated the kingdom of God.He had revealed the love and grace of God.And He had embodied that love and grace by dying for the sin of the world,thus opening up the way for all to live under the reign of God. Because Jesus finished his work of salvation,you and I don`t to add to it.In fact,we can`t. He accomplished what we never could,taking our sin upon himself and giving us his life in return.
