Giving and for-giving
I am now thinking of God`s infinite love - giving us His love in exchange for our sins. Giving His Son as an expiation for our sins for our salvation so that we can enter His Kingdom as inheritants. Giving us His Son as a Friend to let in our lives and follow. So the question is - going back to the first lesson - how do I give myself to God? how do I let Him in? in actions and prayers?

``It is finished`` -John 19:30
At first the words might easily strike as negative - finished over the end - whereas they actually mean the opposite. If interpreted in the light of John 19:30. As writing, the thought strikes me that we read it from a completely different position knowing that Jesus resurrected as promised from the dead. That `finished`- in a nearby verse there is the reference to the cup of bitterness He had to drink to the full - in other words God`s will - which as He knew and the disciples knew - or were meant to know but didn`t fully believe till they saw Him breaking the bread etc - was to be followed by His resurrection again according to the Fathers` will. Which makes me think of the other question asked on the Forum - the one regarding the position of women and the fact that Jesus talked to them so much ''incidentally, women were called to raise children in the household ... bond between Jesus and His mother - Canaa`s Wedding ....before the first miracle Mary `Do all that He tells you to do` - a simple woman inviting people to believing and obeyance ?!. The link between the two after the answer to the second question. The position of women - in the corner - but don`t the Beatitudes say that the first shall be the last and the last the first? Didn`t Jesus call us to seek for the rejected and cornered? And love them? After a life lived in a low profile - His wasn`t a kingdom of eartlhy power but of spiritual victory - he was saying `rejected` is a blatant undestatement. Didn`t He say that only if we turn into children we can hope to enter the Kingdom? for me it tells me that He was calling us to a blind utterly trusting faith like children do and women then had - no or very little education - like Mary - the humblest and most ignorant - in the academic sense of the term -being but-and thus ''?'' who with a simple carpenter was called not only to give birth but also to raise the Son of God following those Laws that they had inherited from the Fathers and that Jesus had come to fullfill. Wasn`t Peter`s faith shaken to the point of collapse and denial in front of a simple servant woman? So the link. To the disciples burdened and blinded by the physical toll of walking around with Jesus for miles and miles haeling the sick, spreading the Word, facing all the dangers that came with Jesus` persecution physically engaged in the daily battles with all the power of their physical selves too the words must have sounded like `it`s over`. That body our leader is dead pysically gone - there are many pasages where we can hear Jesus powerful wordings not only the temple scene and many many times he acts in a very positive forceful way - so how can we carry on fighting? Whreas Mary the Mother had experienced Him not only as a small baby and then child, but first as pure Holy Spirit descending in Her womb as a force growing developing - if to us who know all that happens when an embryo grow and develops for those times it must have felt even more like a miracle ''incidentally and paradoxically less to us - feeling we can control things''....Maybe it`s a very - a solely - woman`s point of view, but to me it feels that feeling that life is actually growing inside you is an important key which explains their faith. To the disciples he was the fully developed in his physical strenght man and also they probably found it difficult and or astounding to imagine all the strenght - spiritual -that such a simple woman as Mary - of course with Joseph help - needed to accept and accomplish such a mission assigned by God.

John 14:21; Mat 5:20
2 questions: 1 for the discussion 1 of clarification. 1. Struck by the fact that it says that first you have the Laws - that Jesus came to fullfill - and then you find Him. I mean if I was a Jew in those times waiting for his coming i would understand more but in my own personal journey longafter His life death and Resyrrection first i heard His voice and this voice called me to follow the Law. 2. Not sure i understand but i feel that it means that being the Law of Love the law Jesus brought us i intend it that liek Jesus healed on a Sabbath, which was forbidden by the Jewish law, so we have to always think of our fellow beings putting them fisrt. Application of the law must not be blind to people`s needs.

flesh of Her flesh Spirit of His Spirit
Anonymous words deeply struck me - all Jesus went through...they pierced like swords in Mary`s I`ll add proud heart. So here`s my link - arrested in a garden - the seed had to die to fully bloom into new life - oursa nd His again through any true Christian. Mary proud I imagine although sorrowful for the son so far way but engaged in such a peace mission - worried and yet certain of all the strenght taht coming from the Lord was sustaning Him as it had sustained her. So not only a site strictly about his hsitorical life but I wanted to you to follow Him in this webring where looking for something specific about His hitorical life you will be irresistably drawn to each single flower that sprouted from Him. The author created as a webring - I shall invite you to follow Him in this FlowerRing. http:--home.earthlink.net-~mysticalrose-index.html
