My Jesus

I know Jesus Christ as the beloved Son of God, who was born by the virgin Mary. Jesus' conception and birth, in itself, was a miracle.

When I read back through the story of creation and acts of God through the prophets and leaders of ancient times, I am fully convinced that Jesus Christ is truly whom he claimed to be.

The narratives about his life, actions, death and resurrection point only to the fact that these were acts ordained by the supernatural Almighty creator who is in control of all things in heaven above, earth below, and the entire universe.

God in his infinite wisdom, demonstrated to us the true act of love when he asked Abraham to make a sacrifice of the one promise God had made real for him. The faithfulness of Abraham was kind of replayed when God sent his only beloved son to carry the weight and burden of the entire mankind, nailed on the cross, and lifted eternal life out of the grave.

I believe in Jesus as the messiah and that, soon, he will come back to complete his mission, as promised. True obedience, love, faithfulness, mercifulness, and forgiveness is what Jesus stands for. We can only find true peace and happiness when live up to him as our role model.

Whatever we seek, Jesus has the answers, and he gave those answers long ago, when he empowered us to use his name. When we faithfully invoke his name in our daily lives, we will get whatever we want, honestly.

I love Jesus and everything he stands for.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?
Obedience seems to be an unpopular concept in Western Culture because people feel as thought they have lost their freedom. Yet being obedient to God actually gives you freedom in Christ. We no longer are slaves to sin. Once the wall of sin that separates us from God has been torn down, we are free to build an intimate relationship with Jesus. Our obedience to him is an outward manifestation of our love for him. I obey Him because I love him. And I love Him because he first loved me.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
All I can think about is the story of Mary and Martha having dinner with him in the Book of John. Mary sat at Jesus' feet just taking him in and listening. I think that would be the greatest honor. I would ask him what He thought I personally needed to know to grow closer to Him, and then I'd be sure to write it all down.

"He who has My commandements and keeps them,he it is who love Me: and he who love Me shall be loved by My Father and I will love himand disclose Myself to him .John 14:21

All we need is to love Him,trust Him and obey his commandements.

By asking us to love one another, if we have love we have everything because God is love.
