In Luke 8: 27-33, why do you think Jesus did what legion asked? This has bothered me for ages but I did not have anyone to ask and the books dont say. Thanks!

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
Jesus had to be tested by the same physical and emotional pains that we go through and stay blameless and pure without sin... he understands our weaknesses.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

The Holy Bible reads that without the sheding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins. And Jesus is the Lamb of God for the forgiveness of our sins.

Quoting Richard Maganga "Jesus being fully human, as well as full divine, had to experience all that we have to experience in life and death. The separation of Jesus from His Father had to be complete so that we can also from Him find the reconciliation to our Father in heaven for all of our being, physical, emotional and spiritual."

Humbleful, it reveals us that the wages for our sins is our death; and, only through our Faith and Trust in Jesus that we can reach both the door and way to our eternal life is Heaven.

Jesus lived on earth as human and he encountered many humanly challenges despite Him being the son of God. The wages of sin is death and because He had taken up all our sin, He had to die and undergo some torture. He had to face what we face and we'll ever face.

When Jesus came to the world,He operated in the physical realm like human beigns and therefore subject to human treatments like judgement, torture, degrading and inhuman treatment. Secondly, the wage of sin is death which can only be suffered in the physical world. Thirdly, everything that happened to Jesus was a divine arrangement which had been prophesised long before it happened.

Final hours of Execution

Jesus being fully human, as well as full divine, had to experience all that we have to experience in life and death. The separation of Jesus from His Father had to be complete so that we can also from Him find the reconciliation to our Father in heaven for all of our being, physical, emotional and spiritual.

More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

In the bible it says that without the sheding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.. Jesus shed blood through all the physical pain.. God loved his son every much and seeing him go through all the pain really hurt God.. For Jesus he was in alot of emotional pain when his father turned away from him because of all the sin on him.. Jesus had to take the sins on himself for us to be forgiven so because of his love for us he was willing to go through alot of emotional pain..
