How can one increase his faith to be the size of a mustard seed? (see also Luke 17:5-19)
We can grow our faith by continually turning our will and our lives over to God's care.  When I pray, I also must remain still and listen for the God to direct me through the Holy Spirit.  I try to remember that everything happens according to God's plan, and I need to let Him guide me through Bible readings, prayer and devotions.

Jesus described his generation as "Faithless and perverse". How would Jesus describe your generation?
I think He would say we are aimless, and not focused on what really matters in this world.  Greedy, self-centered and blind to the needs of others.  Our generation needs to realize that the Truth and Way that God presents to us, thru Jesus, is the only way to live.

Joseph from the town of Arimathaea was a wealthy Jewish religious leader. What risk did he take and why was he willing to do this? Note: Isaiah 53:9 - "And they made His grave with the wicked, But with the rich at His death."
Jesus was considered to be blasphemous, claiming to be the Son of God.  Many believed in Him, but many did not.  The Romans, who crucified Jesus, did not believe in Jesus.  Joseph appeared to recover the body of this criminal, Jesus.  Joseph was already a respected man, and for him to care for Jesus, this was not looked upon well.   He was ready and willing to care for Jesus body, becasue Joseph truly believed that Jesus WAS the Son of God.

Jesus took three of his disciples to the top of a mountain to experience dead prophets now alive, and a voice from a cloud saying, "This is my beloved Son, listen to him." If you were one of the disciples, what impact would this experience ha
My immediate reaction would be to fall to my knees in homage.  Any doubts that I had about Jesus being the Son of God would have been dismissed.  I would be assured that Jesus was indeed the Christ, and that God was indeed speaking through Jesus.  My entire life's mission would be revealed to me - to follow Jesus always and help spread the news of His coming to all the people of the world.  I would be committed to closely receiving all of Jesus' words and teachings, and would never doubt that He was here to save us from ourselves.

Jesus was commited to sacrifice his own life. What did he mean by the statement, "For who ever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel will save it"?
Jesus know that, for Him to attain eternal life with God the Father, He must sacrifice and lose his own life.  Jesus called His followers to also be willing to lose their own lives, so that they also may gave eternal life in God's Kingdom.  By following Jesus, even into death, God will have mercy on them and accept them into Heaven.  However, those who are not willing to lose their lives, to follow Jesus into death, would not be accepted into God's kingdom.
