Blog of Debbie To have God as our Father means we are "Children of God" and that:-- We would Love God the Father and Jesus his son above all. We would Believe in God's word. We would Hear and Understand Jesus's speech (his word, his teachings) because it is the truth. We would do the desires of God as written in the bible. We would speak the truth and not be liars. Yes, my mom was in the hospital and I prayed for her recovery. Once in the chapel my tears covered the pulpit like an ocean. God did not answer my pray like I had asked him to. But he did something to me, within in me. As I walked out of the chapel that day I had an inner strength a knowing that he was with me even more than before. It was like he was preparing me for what I had to soon experience. Unlike the common people who praised Jesus one day and turned against him in a few days. With the help of the Holy Spirit I drew even closer to God after the passing of my mother. Time stood still as I have never experience so much pain, loss, sadness I had so many questions as to "Why God"" "Why didn't you hear me"" He took my best friend from me but I trust that he has her safe in Heaven. During my sadness which was only filled with daily pray... He revealed himself to me and he is now my Best Friend. I still don't understand why she had to be taken away so soon. But I trust that he knows best. I was given an inner strength that would not have been possible if it was not for his love for us and my search for him and my trust in him. Thanks to you Lord Jesus Christ. Not my will but may your will be done. I love you Mom...I love you more.. Unconditional Love, freedom from fear, total trust, faith, the thirst for knowledge/being inquisitive,a positive attitude and a Happy Open Heart are the qualities of a child that increases one's abitlity to receive spritually. "I believe. Help my unbelief!", Jesus responded to the father's honest request by Commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the boy and to never enter him again. The lesson I learned from this is that when we make a petition to God for help we must:- (1.) Give God our Total Trust. (2.) We can also ask God to help us with anything that might prevent us from having total faith in him. "I believe, Help my unbelief!" (3.) Prayer & Abstain from Food - Jesus told the disciples some good works require us to Abstain from Food when we make our petitions/prays to God. |
