Why do you think Jesus looked up to heaven and then sighed before the healing?

Since it was a day of teaching, before performing the miracle Jesus first looked up to Heaven as an example to us. That we must first reflect upon God's Grace and Guidance before doing anything and when asking for healing.

Maybe we should all be like Jesus and Look up to Heaven, give God Thanks, ask him for Blessings just like Jesus did.

Probably Jesus sighed because he was pouring out his heart with love for us all...

Jesus was not tired, (God is the powerful Almighty) the only thing that wonds Jesus's Heart is when we do not put our faith and trust in him willingly.

What lesson do you think Jesus taught the disciples by cursing the fig tree?

When Jesus cursed the fig tree he thought the disciples two lessons: The fig tree was not bearing fruit as it was meant to on earth. This is a reminder to us that we are to be good Christians and bear good fruit in everything we do and say.

Secondly Jesus taught us that if we have ultimate faith in him from our hearts, that we can accomplish anything through him even move moutains.

Faith gives light to the mind

Jesus asked the blind man what they wanted Him to do. What do you want Jesus to do for you?

I would like to first Thank Jesus for all of the blessings he has given to me.  I would like to ask and invite God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to purify me and come live in my heart, to speak with me and guide me.

I would like to ask Jesus to give me the wisdom to understand his teachings.  Just like the blind men, I would like to ask Jesus for a kind heart (to open my Heart and give me eyes to see his truth) so that I could see Jesus in everyone I encounter and that I may treat others as he commanded we should with love, respect and less judgment.

I would like to ask Jesus for inner peace, courage and a strong, clear voice so that I may do his will and help others.   Amen

Ps. I would like to ask God to teach the world how to choose Love every minute of to day in everything we do. Choose to love instead of war, unkindness or greed. Choose Love with our families and always turn the other cheek. Choose to love even when driving in our cars, have patients in traffic. Let us all who claim to love Jesus be that example of Love :) every moment every day.

What is so good about fasting? Why fast?

What is so good about fasting"

Fasting helps us become less self-centered and more Christ-centered it is during this time God may gave us inner peace, grace and strenght to help us to become better spiritual peolpe to lead abundant lives and overcome our temptations.

Fasting usually mean going without food, but in the scriptures Jesus showed us another important meaning of fasting which is doing good works, prayer, repentance and having humility.

Many people fast in the flesh and deny themselves of food inorder to seek God's help but God cannot help them because during that same day they will be unkind to their neighbour and do hurtful and unjust deeds.

God sees our hearts.

All God asks of us when fasting is that we repent of our sins and to trust that he has already forgiven us. God asks that during fasting we have a peaceful heart (live in peace with everyone) that we do good deeds like helping the poor, the feeding orphans, being kind widows, nuns, priests etc and most of all denying ourselves of something inorder to benefit others.

Fasting is a private matter between God and us and should not be made public.  Our good deeds should not be made public and God will bless us for these things.

Why fast"

We fast because it is important for our spiritual life and successful walk with God -Jesus showed us by his example of fasting 40 days in the dessert where he grew spiritually. It is during Jesus's fast God spoke to him and gave him the strength to do what he requested. So to God can answer our prays and gave us the strength we need in our daily lives when we fast.
