Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him means Jesus wants us to pray more often to him. To have more faith and trust in him. To read the bible more often and understand His words. If we are able to do these, we will automatically be obedient to Him as we tend to understand what God wants us to do in our life and what God forbid us to do. Favorite Violation May 08, 2007 Why does Jesus call Love One Another a New commandment? In todays world, we see wars, murders, fighting, child abusing, women being abuse, etc......... All these shows us that love does not exist. I believe all these things not only happen in todays world but long ago even in Jesus` time. Jesus foresee all these things will happen as the world is full of sinners. In order to avoid all these matter, Jesus commanded us to love one another especially our enemy. If most of us can follow this command, the world will have peace. If everyone reflect God`s love, I believe a lot of sinners will be save as they will be able to see God`s love and all the wonderful things He has done for us.
