I don`t believe Jesus was trying to incite his death, He knew the time of His death and i believe that be temple cleansing and accusation of leaders would not have changed His time of death. Our dear Lord was always truthful, there was no lies in Him. He told people tha truth but they refused the truth, they do not liked the truth and they inside their hearts planned to murder Him.
He prayed our God to pass away this bitter cup, He did not enjoy being murdered. He did not aim to be a hero for humankind.
He loved us to the extreme, and He was truth since He was born truthful and continued to be truthful even to his death. Just happens that we do not like truth, for we are sinner and our ancestors solved to murder Him.

the sun shines in the morning and darkness fade away, what Jesus did is according to Gods plan .the accusation of these leaders of being snakes is just right, but i think its not an accusation its letting them know who really they are.as the light ''Jesus'' appears it would be visible of who you are.
