July 17, 2007 Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) There is no way Jesus could have incited his death, he came to save us from our sins.His way of teaching were viewed by many in that direction. Jesus came to the world to save the world , but for him to do all these he had to preach the gospel truth, which is hard for some people to bear.

July 17, 2007 Why did Jesus? penalty for sin need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? this is show that he is hunan being like us. he had to feel all this so as we ordinary humans will understand and also feel his pain.
