He wanted to force Jesus to yield and not die for us. All the suffering He went through only proved that his love for us is so very deep and to show us what is in store for the ones who love Him and not ashamed to admit it. I feel that it must truly hurt Him to look down on the people He suffered and died and see so many nonbelievers. Yes, the suffering He bore for me truly makes me love Him more. I think He did incite his on death. He knew the time of his death and the punishment he had to endure for us. I am so humbly blessed to be loved by such a great man. Never will anyone love as much as he has, especially when so many turn their backs to him today. He was willing to give his life so we could one day walk with him in heaven.
